Just like you, sustainable commitment and the reduction of carbon emissions due to long journeys are important to us ... but for the moment it remains difficult to reconcile with the economic reality. A lot of know-how no longer exists in Europe, we are the first to be sorry. The Covid 19 pandemic made us think a lot, and we decided to fight to revive this know-how.
So we went to see further… but further does not mean less well.
Poppy sweaters require quality wool, certifications proving that the animal is respected, knitting, stitching and precise know-how. In addition to technique, our workshops were also selected based on locally produced materials and for their respect for Man, Animal and the planet.
We are aware that there is still a long way to go. This is why we need you to succeed in our process!

The Covid 19 pandemic made us think a lot, and we decided to engage in the creation of engaged clothing using LENZING ™ ECOVERO ™ yarns, they have been rewarded with the EU Ecolabel: environmental distinction awarded to products & services that respect very strict environmental criteria throughout their life cycle: from the extraction of raw materials to the recycling of the used product, including the stages of manufacture and marketing.
So we went to see further… but further does not mean less well.
Poppy's fabrics are created on an Indonesian island, then sent to our workshop in Bali. This approach makes it possible to come to the aid of the poorest Balinese and to designate a collection combining respectful materials and feminine styles.
We are aware that there is still a long way to go. That's why we need you to be successful in our process!
Poppy Field the label believes it is vital to give back to the community. We are very pleased to support Bali WISE by providing valuable training sessions to young women. Bali WISE is a non-profit NGO who believes that by “empowering marginalized women through skills education is a means to develop sustainable communities in Indonesia.”
There are more than 12 million unskilled or illiterate women in Indonesia. Since Bali is now home to Poppy Field the label, we are dedicated to improving the lives of these women by investing in their well-being and those of their communities…..one woman at a time. A training session, which typically lasts six months, provides the skills necessary to obtain employment and earn a living wage.

Poppy Field the label is excited to partner with local Balinese NGO R.O.L.E., an organization that is now in its 14th year of working towards the prevention of land-based waste polluting the ocean. R.O.L.E. provides education and skills-based training programs for the local community focused on alleviating poverty and environmental sustainability. This includes reducing the use of plastics.
Respecting our land and oceans is critical. By working with R.O.L.E. Poppy Field the label helps to promote and support jobs and businesses who consider our natural resources by using organic cotton and natural dye weaving.
Here at Poppy Field the label we pay attention to the source for our selection of materials; choosing the cuts, details and fabrics that stay true to our vision of ethical, sustainable fashion.
However, sustainability is not just a fashion, but a lifestyle. Inspired by our love of travel, we wanted to build a fun, affordable, ethical fashion brand while remaining committed to protecting the environment, working with ethical suppliers, promoting the humane treatment of animals and supporting local causes within the communities we live.
At Poppy Field the label we take pride in everything we do. We use original and unique artwork, hand-made by the artisans themselves. Their designs are then digitally recorded, or digitally painted, for use on various fabrics and garments.
